Start with the art: That's the key to basic page design. |
If you don't know what to do first when it comes to layout, here is a tip that will get you started and clarify your task: Start with the art. Put in your photo or clip art first and place it on the page in consideration of its importance (the more important the art, the higher up it should be) and its best size (the better the art and the more informative, the bigger it should be). Once your art is on the page it will be easier to see where your headline will go and how the story will flow around it.
